Ilja Karsikas (solo)
My second solo album and book ”Uraanisiipi” was released in April 2023. The album is available in all streaming platforms as well as a LP, cassette, MiniDisc and CD format. The CD comes with an exclusive book, richly illustrated 52 paged short story.

My first solo album, children’s music record Sintti Silmusuu was based on "Sintti Silmusuu tahtoo oppia lukemaan" book and it was released in 2010.

My side career as a self-made singer-songwriter begun round 1999 when I started my Marian valinta music project. Since that I’ve been playing in different bands and written folk pop songs.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of my adventures in musical history I re-released the essential selection of my old Marian valinta songs. The songs are available in Spotify and in the other streaming platforms.
The beautiful cover art for the re-issues are made by painter Satu Rautiainen, illustrator Maria Sann and graphic designer Laura Savioja. I designed all the other visual things and layouts. Remastered by master wizard Jarno Alho.

The Exhibition
Vino puu (Crooked Tree) was also a title for my exhibition that took place in Galleria Kuvitus in November 2018. Exhibition consisted of ink paintings, silk-screen prints and hand-carved wooden printing plates. During the exhibition we also had four performances that combined music and theatre.

The book includes my ink drawings and beautiful photos by Jonne Sippola: pictures of my wood carvings and portraits of Vino puu band.
By the artworks you can read the Vino puu song lyrics written by me and Marko Järvikallas, as well as theatre monologues for Vino puu performance written by Marko. Foreword by curator Veera Pekkinen. (Text is in Finnish.)
